The league is always eager to help people who want to start playing our game as well as more experienced players who are looking for a team.

What is Softball ?

Softball is a bat and ball game that grew out of baseball and is played by millions of people around the world. It is one of the few team sports where men and women play together on an equal basis within a team. The Manchester League

The Manchester Softball league includes more than 25 teams who play in 3 divisions  that cater for all levels  of player, from the rawest beginner to the competitive veteran.

Divisions 1 and 2 play on Wednesday evenings in Northenden, Division 3 play on Tuesday evenings in Didsbury.

The main league runs from late April to early September each year. Over the close season there are weekly weekend indoor softball sessions and the league will also be running weekly mid-week coaching sessions for beginners over this winter.

Under 18s

The Manchester Softball league is an adult league. We have a minimum age limit of 14, if you are under 18 you will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult when you play. If you are under 18 you may wish to also look at the Manchester baseball club web site as they run junior teams.
